We’re thrilled to Rappel for Reading with Over The Edge! Volunteers are critical to the event being a success. Thank you for helping us get more books into the hearts and hands of more children.

Ropes Volunteers

Our Ropes Volunteers are the backbone of Over The Edge. You will provide safety support, stage participants, help them go Over The Edge, and help them get in and out of their rappel gear. No ropes or rappel experience is required. You will get to rappel for free!

Requirements

• Watch a 1-hour online safety video before the event.

• Attend a training session on Friday, August 30 from 6-8 PM.

• Support Over The Edge on Saturday, August 31 from 8-4.

Event Volunteers

Our Event Volunteers help support the main event logistics with registration, check-in, staging, and escorting participants through the hotel to ensure they get to the roof safely for their rappel. Event volunteers also assist with retrieving gear from the landing zone and ensuring the roof is secure. Lunch/water will be provided.
